Research Briefing: The story behind our discovery of BBLN and its involvement in cardiac malfunction in Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF).

02.11.2023

The Quitterer Group has published their new research findings on BBLN, CAMK2D and Tetralogy of Fallot (TOF) in the journal Nature Cardiovascular Research.

26.10.2023

The Quitterer Group has identified the Membrane Palmitoylated Protein 1 (MPP1) as a protein, which promotes heart failure in transgenic MPP1-mice and in different murine models with major cardiovascular risk factors. MPP1 could contribute to aging-induced cardiac degeneration because it is also up-regulated in peripheral blood mononuclear cells of aged humans.

06.09.2023

Our review on the different functions of RKIP on tumor cells and the heart has been published.

14.02.2022

Insight into the first disease-causing GPCR aggregation: the AT1R-B2R protein complex causes preeclampsia.

01.10.2021

Unexpected finding: the main fat desaturating enzyme SCD (Stearoyl-CoA Desaturase) triggers cardiotoxic lipid overload and heart failure.

13.09.2021

Anton et al recently confirmed in vivo that inflammation triggers AT1-B2 receptor heterodimerization.

10.01.2020

The online science magazine "Futurity" presents our discoveries on preeclampsia in the article "An old drug shows promise for preeclampsia"

25.02.2019

Worldwide interest in our findings concerning preeclampsia, amlodipine

Our discoveries concerning preeclampsia, AT1-B2-receptor heterodimers and amlodipine have gained widespread attention worldwide. The leading Chinese news portal xw.qq.com (Tencent QQ), which is one of the ten most visited domains in the world, published an article explaining our findings concerning preeclampsia.

20.02.2019

The very high impact factor journal Science presents our discoveries which have been published in Cell in an article titled "Understanding Preeclampsia"
